GDT > New Train For Colorado > Interiors

Trains operating on rail routes in Colorado such as Front Range Passenger Rail would typically be making inter-regional journeys of approximately 1 to 4 hours in length. The trains should be equipped with a variety of facilities to ensure comfort, convenience, and accessibility for passengers. The following images show examples of what could typically be found on board.
Seating
A mixture of seating types will be required. All seats should be provided with a power and / or USB outlet to charge laptops and mobile devices.

Luggage
The Western Rail system is likely to attract significant numbers of passengers with bicycles, outdoor gear and winter sports equipment. Adequate space will be required on-board to accommodate the various luggage types with ease.

Accessibility
The trains should go beyond the minimum requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and provide all passengers an equitable journey experience.
Note the “Tip-up” seats available for able-bodied passengers to use when not needed by wheelchair or mobility device users.

Food and Beverage
Food and beverage provision is a great feature of train travel, whether it is just a quick snack, a hot meal or a couple of drinks to relax.
