GDT > Reimagine RTD (GDT’s Version) > Service Modes
RTD’s services should be rebranded into the following modes:
Rail Services

Rail
– Single lettered following a 2016 study which indicated that most riders have little regard for the exact type of rail technology (“light” or “commuter”) they are travelling on.
Bus Services

Flyers
– Double lettered from AA. Airport (“SkyRide”) services start with A.
– Stop spacing varies as most routes use highways.
– Operated with “over the road” coaches.

Lynx / BRT
– Numbered by adding 700 to the equivalent local route number.
– Stops every 0.3 – 1 miles.
– Operated with 60ft articulated buses.

Local
– Numbered 0-699.
– Stops every 3 blocks.
– Operated with 30ft or 40ft transit buses.

Circulators
– Clearly branded, not numbered.
– Stops as required by service.
– Operated with bespoke vehicles.
