Gillig 40ft Low Floor Transit Bus
The 5000 Series comprised of 161 Gillig 40ft Low Floor transit buses that worked all over the RTD district. Deliveries started in 2006 and the last example was retired in March 2024.

Interior and Seating
RTD’s 5000 Series low floor buses had 37 seats. Eight seats could be tipped up to create two dedicated spots for wheelchair / mobility devices. An ‘extra space’ area was also provided.
